Rosie Christening Gown
A rather simple yet lovely Edwardian Christening Gown dating around 1900. This gown has a high yoke that is decorated with vertical bands of alternating lace and hand embroidered feather stitching. The neck also features feather stitching and also has a narrow band of cotton lace trim. Full length sleeves are gently gathered and the cuffs are again trimmed with the same feather stitching and narrow lace.
The skirt is full and joins the yoke neatly with a detightful frilled lace edging. A lovely row of pintucks and embroidered lace edges the skirt and it is finished off with a hemline of scalloped lace. All in all a simple gown with a lovely fresh feel.
This gown is in perfect condition, it is elegant in style which makes it perfect for both boys or girls.
