Polly Christening Gown
This is an excellent antique Christening Gown dating from the turn of the 20th century and displays wonderful craftsmanship of the Edwardian era. It is in perfect condition. Made from cotton lawn and delicate Swiss lace this gown is sure to be admired.
The bodice has a slight Victorian feel with its V shaped lace decorated bodice with pretty lace edging. The neckline is high and decorated with narrow lace.
The sleeves are fullsome and decorated at the cuff with narrow lace and ribbons.
The full skirt is gently gathered into the waistline and extends to a fullsome skirt which is decorated with rows and rows of pin tucks, Swiss lace and broderie anglais trim until the hemline.
Perfectly fits an 18 inch chest. Length 36 inches.
This gown is in excellent condition with no tears or holes.
