Clara Edwardian Christening Gown
A pretty little example of Edwardian craftsmanship in lovely condition. Typical of the period the yoke is detailed by vertical bands of pintucks with diagonal lace panelling. A feather stitch yokeband joins the skirt to the yoke. This seamline has been created by a method called guauging, which results in the tiniest of gathers that allow the fullness of the gown to flow with no bulky seams.
The skirt has beautiful horizontal lace bands for decoration with a double full frill along hte hemline. This gown has been created in the softest cotton lawn, it may be advisable to wear it with a small Edwardian style petticoat underneath.
This fits an 18 inch chest perfectly. Length 27 inches.
Clara is a very cute short Edwardian gown, perfect for spring and summer Christenings.
