Annie Christening Gown
What a prettty muslin Edwardian style christening gown. Dating from around 1920, this gown is beautiful and shows a style similar to the late Edwardian period. The short yoke comprises of delicate embroidery of butterflies and flowers. A high round neckline is trimmed with narrown cotton lace. The 3/4 length sleeves are edged with the same lace detail.
A full skirt joins the yoke with some beautiful guaged pleating and entredeaux trim. The short skirt then flows downwards to the hemline which comprises of delicate embroidery to match the bodice.
The gown may benefit from the addition of an Edwardian style petticoat. These can also be purchased from Little Doves.
A soft, delicate Edwardian style gown, perfect for early summer baptisms.
