A graceful, extremely fine and soft cotton lawn gown dating from the Edwardian period.


A delicate yoke is decorated with vertical cotton lace panels and minute rows of pintucks. The skirt joins the yoke with lovely, tiny gathers under a fine strip of eyelet lace. The soft skirt is full and long which allows the gown to fall gently. The bottom of the skirt is decorated with rows of pintucks and cotton lace with a lovely scalloped trim to finish.


Long sleeves are edged in the same cotton lace and join the gown with thin eyelet lace. A lovely example of Edwardian simplicity.
